Wild Elephant Kills One in Tinsukia District

Wild elephant terror has been reported in Jagun of Tinsukia District on Tuesday night.

As per sources, one man has been killed in the wild elephant attack. The deceased has been identified as Louis Orang who was a resident of Jagun, Margherita.

The incident took place near Kathachema Ghat in Burhidihing River.

According to the Jagun Forest Range officials, the wild elephant came out of the forest which is actually a protected area.

Earlier on Monday, a wild elephant had killed two creating terror at labourers line at the Numaligarh Bagidhala Tea garden around 4 am.

The conflict between man and elephant in Assam is a new problem that has been creating havoc in the state since long time past. The wild elephants have been destroying houses and attacking human, killing many.

Besides, every year in the monsoon, due to the flood, the animals from the forest areas comes out in order to save their lives and invades the human habitation creating destruction.
