Vaccination In Assam to Complete by January, 2022: CM Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday announced that vaccination process in the state will be completed by January 15. This was announced by the Chief Minister today while inaugurating 'Mission Sadbhavna' at Assam Administrative Staff College.

Inaugurating the project, the Chief Minister said that there are registration population in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong. "People belonging to these places don't want to take the vaccine. Therefore, we have targeted to vaccinate these people by November 15," he added.

"There are 10-15 lakhs people of Assam who stays outside the state. Out target is to give 2crore 10 lakhs 1thousand vaccine doses and the person has been in charge in the villages will have to submit the overall list of the people who are fully vaccinated.

CM Sarma further informed that 95% people have already been vaccinated.

He also urged all to get vaccinated in order to prevent from COVID-19.
