Two timber smugglers detained in Jagun

Forest Department seized 180 CFT logs of Hollong tree in Jagun's Tingkupani Reserved Forest last night and detained two timber smugglers during an operation.

The two detained timber smugglers have been identified as Raju Pradhan and Krishna Chetry. The former is a resident of Karbi Anglong's Kheroni while Chetry resides in Jagun's Namile.

A foreignmade modern woodcutting machine was also seized during the operation launchedby the Jagun forest department.
