  • A major breakthrough in Ugratara deity theft case, Latashil Police has managed to recover the broken parts (In Assamese মুণ্ডমালা আৰু সৰ্প) of the Astadhatu idol of Goddess Ugratara, while conducted search operation in accused Rahul Ali's home, this evening.
  • Reportedly, accused Ali broke the parts after committing the theft.
  • Police conducted the search operation at Jaysagar in Nalbari.
  • The Police team was headed by Latashil OC Upen Kalita.
  • Golaghat Police recovered the centuries-old deity of Ugratara temple and also detained four thieves in connection with the case on Wednesday.
