Three organizations call for 12 hr bandh in Golaghat

Assam is burning in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) for some time now. Every alternate day there is one or the other Assam Bandh called by various regional organization. Similarly, today a 12 hour bandh has been called by the Chutia Students' Association, Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti and Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad in Golaghat.

The roads wore a deserted look as there were no vehicular movements.

The bandh was called demanding the release of few leaders, namely Mahen Bora, Bidyut Saikia, Asami Bora and Rajib Laskar, who were detained while protesting against CAB.
