Thousands throng Barsapara Stadium

With only few hours left before the much anticipated ODI match between India and West Indies thousands throng Barsapara ACA stadium.

Gates have opened at 11:30 am but cricket fans have been waiting in long queues, to watch their favourite players in action, since morning.

Security check has been tightened on all the entrances with no permission for items such as lighter, water bottles and food (except baby food) to be brought in from outside.

Fans from across Assam and of all ages have flooded the Stadium to witness the match which is being held after 10 years.The crowd is immensely excited to be a part of the ODI.

These enthusiastic fans wish India take up batting first and at least score 300 runs. A huge lot supporting MS Dhoni are longing for a helicopter shot and also a century from the ace batsman. There is also an equally Virat Kohli supporting crowd demanding the same from the India cricket team captain.

The Caribbean team has reached the stadium and team India will follow after a while. Both the teams will warm up prior to the match which begins at 1:30 pm.
