For easy shuttling between the Old Guwahati High court Building and new High Court Building, a Rs 22 crore tunnel was inaugurated.

There is the Mahatma Gandhi road bifurcating both the court buildings and for last three years the construction work has been going on and technology has to be imported for the waterproof tunnel. The length of the tunnel is around 40 feet connected both sides with escalators.

Meanwhile, the Guwahati-North Guwahati ropeway is about to open for public as security drill has been successfully carried out. The length of the ropeway is more than 3000 ft and built at a cost of Rs 56 crores.
