Suspected ULFA-I abducts stone quarry manager in Jagun

A manager-cum-caretaker of a stone quarry at Jagun's 10th Mile in Tinsukia named Apurba Kakoti  has been abducted by unidentified gunmen on Monday.The stone crushing unit belongs to one local named Bijay Bora who informed the police about the incident.

It is  being suspected that a group of three United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) cadres have abducted while he was working at the quarry for ransom.

Apurba Kalita hails from Digboi's Ram Nagar as  per reports.

This is the fourth incident of abduction at Jagun in the past one year.However, it is yet to be ascertained who has abducted the youth.

A joint combing operation has been launched in Assam-Arunachal border in search of the youth.Police have already started investigation into the case.
