Strict compliance of COVID-19 rules to be ensured: CM Sonowal

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in a meeting on Thursday directed the state department of Health to take immediate steps to curb COVID19 and to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 rules across all districts.

Taking accounts of the COVID19 outbreak in the state, the CM stressed on taking strict actions at the earliest in the interest of safeguarding the health of the people of Assam.

"The CM directed officials to ensure strict compliance of rules related to COVID-19 in their respective districts. Officials were further directed to distribute quality relief materials to flood-affected people and ensure proper medical facilities & hygiene at the relief camps", a tweet mentioned.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was present at the meeting too.

According to news reports, the probability of a complete lockdown across Guwahati city is possible in the nearest future.
