Spicejet starts freight services between Guwahati-Hong Kong

The Spicejet cargo service started dedicated freighter services between Guwahati and Hong Kong on Saturday. With a weekly flight, the service has been kicked off from the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati.

With the launch of the cargo service, Spicejet's cargo arm SpiceXpress, become the first operator to connect the Northeast with Southeast Asia through a freighter route. According to reports, the first freighter carried a consignment of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The service will be operated with Boeing 737 freighter and is likely to bring in huge opportunities for the Northeast India as it will allow the traders of the NE States to expand their market outreach to the global markets.
