Sonowal Lays Foundation Stone of PMAY-G Houses

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of more than one lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) at Sarusajai stadium.

Layingthe foundation stone, Sonowal said that 300 unemployed will be appointed underthe Deendayal Upadhyay Gramin Kaushal Vikash Yojana scheme.

Ithas also been said that more than 1000 Self Help Group will be provided withbank loan and that the government aims to construct 2 lakh houses in 2019-20 bythe Panchayat and Rural Development department.

Reportsays that 1, 94, 338 houses have been registered under the scheme out of which1, 22, 304 houses have been granted.
