Assam: Murder Accused Jumps Police Custody In Tezpur

A murder accused allegedly escaped police custody in Assam’s Tezpur, sparking a manhunt for him.

According to information received, the said individual, identified as Mohan Baruah, was taken to a hospital for a medical check up, which is when he devised his escape plan.

While at the hospital, he somehow managed to slip past the police and became untraceable soon after, leaving the latter baffled.

Baruah was arrested for allegedly murdering a woman in Bandarmara.
