In a spine-chilling incident reported from Samaguri in Sivasagar on Saturday, a woman was brutally murdered. The woman identified as Veena Gogoi was subjected to a vicious attack by her son, who callously set her ablaze, resulting in her untimely demise.

The perpetrator, namely Manash Gogoi, was apprehended by the police.

Furthermore, investigations revealed that the victim had endured prolonged abuse and mistreatment at the hands of her son prior to the fatal attack.
