Top seeded PV Sindhu sailed into the finals of the women's singles of the 83rd Senior National Badminton Championships in Guwahati by defeating Assam's wonderkid Ashmita Chaliha on Friday evening.

The Olympic silver medallist had a tough outing as she defeated Ashmita by 21-10, 22-20 sets to progress to the finals.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal will face Vaishnavi Bhale in the women's singles' semis. Saina has made her way to the semis defeating Neha Pandit from Maharastra 21-10, 21-10.
