SBI account hacked, man loses Rs 2.5 lakhs

With cases of bank account hacking on the rise in Assam, a person having an account in SBI, Gaurisagar has been looted of Rupees 2.5 lakhs.

The victim of the fraud has been identified as Labanya Saikia. A portion of the amount, that Saikia lost, has been transferred to one account of Kabita Sonar in Nagaland's Mon district and another portion to an account of Shivaprasad Petrol Pump.

As perreports, an amount of rupees 40, 000 had been transferred each to both theaccounts on July 18 and on July 19, an amount had been transferred to anaccount of one Nakul Deka in Barpeta.

It may benoted that all the transfers have been made through an ATM in Guwahati's AnandaNagar.
