RSS Assam openly supports CAB

Pratidin Bureau

Amid the ongoing protests in Assam against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Assam unit has come out in support of the controversial Bill.

State organisations have been opposing the Bill as they believe it would harm their cultural identity. However, RSS enthusiastically support granting citizenship to a section of non-Muslim citizens from neighbouring countries. Meanwhile, there are overwhelming supports coming from Barak Valley in support of the Bill.

RSS believes that if this Bill is not passed, then Hindus will become minority in near future.

"India is a Hindu country. So, every Hindu has right to stay here"- RSS claimed.

"Today, Hindus are facing riots in most areas where other religions are in majority. Hindus have become helpless in those areas. So, the prevailing situations of the country have compelled us to believe in 'Hindu Rashtra'. -RSS activists added.
