Rift starts among TET teachers!

Pratidin Bureau

Internal rift has broken out among the protesting TET qualified teachers as the president of All Assam Primary TET Teachers Association (AAPTTA) has resigned from his post on Friday.

AAPTTApresident Padmalochan Doley alleged that the secretary of the organisation hasbeen leading the teachers with his 'obstinacy'. Doley also urged the TETqualified teachers not to participate in the forthcoming 'Dispur Chalo'demonstration programme.

Meanwhile, in a major breakthrough, the SC-ST TET Teachers' Association has also decided not to take part in the 'Dispur Chalo' programme. The organisation also decided to withdraw their support to the protest. It may be mentioned here that AAPTTA had not invited any representative from the SC-ST TET Teachers' Association to take part in the meeting with Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya. Thus the SC-ST TET Teachers' Association has decided to boycott the ongoing protest.

However, the SC-ST TET Teachers' Association has informed that they have chaired another meeting with Bhattacharya.
