Ragging in Barpeta Medical College

Ashocking incident of ragging has come to light at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed MedicalCollege and Hospital in Barpeta. The newly admitted students were allegedlyforced by their senior students to cut their hairs short.

The incidentcame to light after several MBBS students were spotted outside the saloons inBhakatpara area in Barpeta on Tuesday evening. On being asked, the studentsinformed that their seniors have asked them to cut their hairs short.

However,the principal of the medical college in a shocking statement said that theincident cannot be categorized under ragging. Meanwhile, a committee has beenformed under the vice principal of the college to investigate the incident.
