Gandhibasti in Guwahati witnessed a chaotic situation as people staged a protest on Tuesday. People had blocked the road as protest.

Demanding repair of damaged roads, local residents had to take to the streets. It has been alleged a shower is enough to cause artificial floods in the area causing utter inconvenience to the public.

It may be noted that people have claimed that even after several complaints since five years, there are no signs of repair of roads.

The protestors have urged Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) to take immediate action on the concerned issue.
