Pro-Talk ULFA Leaders To Move Delhi Today

Pro-Talk ULFA leaders Arabindo Rajkhowa, Sasha Choudhury and Anup Chetia will move New Delhi on Monday and will reach by 1 pm to hold discussion with the Centre as the much-awaited peace deal will be signed within two months, said former Special Secretary of RAW, A B Mathur.

Mathur on Sunday signalled the endgame in the negotiations with ULFA and two other militant groups of Assam. He said this in a book release programme of Senior Journalist of Assam, Mrinal Talukdar at Delhi.

Mathur said that the Centre will sign an agreement withULFA within two months and that the talks between ULFA and the Centre are atthe last stage.

He further stated that they are holding talks with three groups of Assam- ULFA, NDFB and a Karbi group. "Talks are progressing satisfactorily and I am hopeful of agreements being signed in the coming months, particularly with the groups in Assam," said Mathur.

Talking about the Naga agreement, Mathur made it clear that the agreement will not have any impact on Assam and Manipur.
