President Kovind to attend special IAF programme in Guwahati today

President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Guwahati on a two-day visit on Wednesday evening. The President was received at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati by Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, among others.

He spent the night at the Raj Bhawan in Guwahati and was accorded a traditional welcome by Assam's First Lady Prem Mukhi on his arrival.

The President will attend a special programme of the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Borjhar, near Guwahati airport on Thursday. The President will present the Standard and Colours Award to 118 Helicopter Unit, Air Defence College, in acknowledgement of its meritorious service to the nation.
