P&RD appointment: Akhil reveals shocking facts

"The investigation ordered by the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on the Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) appointment scam was nothing but a gimmick," said KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi. While addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, the leader also alleged that the OMR sheets of the recruitment examinations have been replaced at the Additional Commissioner Khargeswar Pegu's office.

"The OMR sheets of the examinations were replaced on March 3, March 4 and March 5 at the Additional Commissioner's office," said Gogoi. He also demanded to check the CCTV footage of the office on those days. Gogoi also said that three political leaders were also involved in the replacement of the OMR sheets.

Akhil further alleged that 55 out of 76 Gram Sevikas were appointed from the families of BJP leaders, 64 out of 95 Junior Assistants were appointed from the families of BJP leaders, 21 out of 22 Junior Assistants (HQ) were appointed from the families of BJP members. He also said that 52 out of 59 Gram Sevaks were appointed from the families of BJP members and 128 out of 414 Tax Collectors were appointed BJP members' families.

Gogoi demanded to seal the godown of the P&RD department, where the OMR sheets were being stored.
