Phase-II: 46.4 Percent Turnout Till Now

Around 46.4 percent voters exercised their franchise till 1 PM on Thursday in the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections in the five parliamentary constituencies in Assam.

According to sources, till 1 PM Karimganj recorded 46.87 percent polling, Silchar 44.13 percent, Autonomous District 49.9 percent, Mangaldoi 50.97 percent and Nowgong 41.52 percent.

Notably, till 11 AM Karimganj recorded 21 percent polling, Silchar 24 percent, Autonomous District 21 percent, Mangaldoi 20 percent and Nowgong 20 percent.

Polling is being held from 7 AM to 5 PM in the five seats. As many as 50 candidates are in the fray for the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections in the five parliamentary constituencies in Assam. Earlier, polling for the five LS seats began on a peaceful note in all the constituencies in the State.
