One tea garden employee kidnapped in Jagun

A kidnapping incident has shocked Jagun in Tinsukia District.

A tea garden employee named Dinanath Upadhyay in Phaneng has been kidnapped in broad daylight.

According to reports, a group of five men had kidnapped Upadhyay.

The involvement of ULFA (I) has been suspected.

Upadhyay had allegedly refused to pay the amount the kidnappers had demanded which led to his kidnapping.

The police have detained one ULFA linkman in this context. The linkman has been identified as Babu Basumatary aka Hemkanta.
