The National Students' Union of India (NSUI), the Assam committee demanded the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) to publish the results of the students who have applied for re-checking of answer scripts before the admission process started in the colleges.
The NSUI has submitted a memorandum to the council and also sent a copy to the state Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma requesting to publish the results as soon as possible.
The students' body also demanded the council to allow students to apply for rechecking of answer scripts of all the five subjects instead of three subjects.
The General Secretary of NSUI, Assam Abinash Das said that the results of the re-checking of HS final year should be published before the admission procedure gets started in various colleges and universities. He said that sometimes it seems that recheck results are published after the admission procedure gets over in colleges for which the students are deprived of getting admitted into the top rank colleges. Therefore, the results should be published before the admission procedure.
