In anunfortunate incident, a night bus travelling from Itanagar to Jagun fell into aswamp, near the highway, after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Theincident has taken place in Dergaon's Shitalpathar.

Several injuredpassengers travelling by the Network bus have been rescued by the localresidents. People fear some of the passengers are still trapped inside the bus.

The bus isnow being pulled out of the swamp with the help of three cranes. This has ledto disruption of traffic on the highway causing long lines of vehicles.

It hasbeen alleged that it is due to the dilapidated conditions of the roads that hasled to such an accident jeopardizing lives of many.
