Another feather was added to the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Borjhar as Guwahati got connected to three new domestic destinations on Sunday.

The LGBI airport on Sunday started flight operations for Sikkim, Bhuveneshwar and Varanasi. The new flights will help reduce travel time between Guwahati and these places, which are a centre of major tourist attraction. All the three destinations hold natural or religious importance to people of this country.

The first flight to Varanasi took off on Sunday. The flight was operated by one of the major airplane services in India, SpiceJet.

SpiceJet has announced that they will offer timely discounts and offers to commuters between Guwahati and these three destinations.
