NBSS To Stage Protest Against Linguistic Abuse in BTAD

TheNon-Bodo Suraksha Samiti has announced serial agitation from September 3(Tuesday) in protest against linguistic abuse saying that there has been amassive conspiracy against the Assamese language in the BTAD.

The Non-Bodo Suraksha Samiti alleged that the Assamese language is on the verge of extinction in the BTAD area and that only Bodo language has been preferred in the postal department job.

Ithas also been instructed that the certificates would be provided only in Bodolanguage.

TheSamiti demands that both Assamese and Bodo language should be made compulsoryin schools, offices etc. and also demanded Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tointervene into the issue.

Theyalso stated that the government should make it clear as what is the governmentlanguage in the BTAD alleging that the Assamese have also been forced to learnBodo.
