Muslim family donates land to temple in Sipajhar

Sending out a message of communal harmony, amid ongoing politics over religion, a Muslim family has donated land for a temple in North Mandakata under Kamrup district. The family of Habibur Rahman and Nuruddin Ahmed donated their land to the road, which lead to a Damodar temple in Chamuapara under North Mandakata.

A member of the managing committee of the temple said that Habibur Rahman and Nuruddin Ahmed have donated the land in memory of their late father Nabi Sheikh. The managing committee also informed that they have named the road after Nabi Sheikh.

According to the managing committee, the Muslim families near the temple have also been continuously donating to each and every programme organised in the temple.
