Mrinal Hazarika, Jiten Dutta granted bail

Pro-talk ULFA leaders Mrinal Hazarika and Jiten Dutta were granted bail on Thursday. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Kamrup (M) accepted the bail plea of both the leaders.

Earlier, Mrinal Hazarika was produced before the court after 14-day of judicial remand. After completing the paper works, both Mrinal Hazarika and Jiten Dutta will be released today (Friday). Both of them were arrested on charges of making provocative remarks.

"Just by putting us behind the bars, the government cannot shut our mouth. Earlier, it was the language of guns, but now we have the power of pen and paper.. We will continue our protest against the Citizenship," said Mrinal Hazarika at the court.
