Mortal remains of martyr Basumatary brought to Guwahati

Mortal remains of martyr CRPF jawan Moneswar Basumatary brought to Guwahati Saturday evening. After which, it will be sent to his native village at Kalbari in Baksa district.

Basumatary's mortal remains have been carried to Guwahati by an Indigo flight from Delhi. The flight reached Guwahati at 6:17 PM.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Ex-CM Tarun Gogoi and various others paid their tribute to the martyr Basumatary at Borjhar. Later, the mortal remains will be airlifted by a special chopper of Indian Air Force to his village in Kalbari.

Earlier, CM Sonowal announced Rs. 20 lakh to the family of martyr Moneswar Basumatary.
