Mobile internet services restored in Assam

Themobile internet services have been restored in Assam on Friday morning. Theservices have been restored after the Gauhati High Court directed the Assamgovernment to restore mobile internet services on Thursday.

Mobileand broadband internet services were suspended on the evening of December 11,following incidents of violence during protests against the CitizenshipAmendment Act (CAA).

Itmay be mentioned here that Broadband services have already resumed in Assam.Gauhati High Court had earlier during the day directed the Assam government torestore mobile internet services at 5 PM on Thursday.
