MLA Shiladitya Dev decides to quit BJP

BJP MLA Shiladitya Dev has decided to quit the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The MLA reportedly has sent his resignation letter to Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and state BJP president Ranjit Das.

It has been reported that Dev has had issues with the BJP Hojai district president and party affiliations. In addition, there were also complaints of fallout with a top leader. The MLA will submit his resignation within July 15 to the top leader as well.
