Missionary schools dominate Assam HSLC

The Christian missionary schools of Assam dominated the justdeclared HSLC results of Assam capturing nine out of ten ranks and 16 of the 39overall rank holders.

Closely followed by private sector Assamese medium schools which captured 13 ranks, of which two are from Jaitya Vidyalaya stream, two from Shankardeva Sishu Niketan and two from Vivekananda Vidya Niketan stream. 10 ranks are taken by the Government schools of Assam

Further 25 are from rural areas and 14 rank holders from Guwahati or district headquarters.  Moreover, of the rank holders, 15 are girls and 24of them are boys.

As far as Districts are concerned, Nagaon has the highest number of the rank holder with eight, followed by Kamrup (R)-five, while barpeta Lakimpur and Kamrup (M) have four each.
