On Tuesday night, a theft took place at Lakshmi Temple atKeutkuchi in Barpeta.

Reportedly, a miscreant entered into the temple and smashed the temple and had broken the idol of the temple. Moreover, the miscreant had looted the jewels of the temple and had broken the floor of the temple too.

As per reports, the authorities of the temple have nabbed the miscreant in red-handed and handed over to the police and lodged an FIR about the incident in Police Station. Police have started an investigation on the matter.
