India's five-time world boxing champion M C Mary Kom on Sunday clinched her third gold medal of the year in 48 kg category at the Silesian Open boxing Tournament for women in Gliwice, Poland.

Mary Kom was up against Kazakhstan's Aigerim Kassanayeva and prevailed with a fine tactical performance to win the bout 5-0.

"Mary was terrific in executing her strategy, it was a flawless performance," India coach Rafaelle Bergamasco said after her match.

Her other two gold medals this year came in the inaugural India Open in Delhi and the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
