Former Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Sarkar visited Kokrajhar on Friday evening to campaign for the youngest contestant for Assam Lok Sabha polls battle.
25-years-old Biraj Deka is contesting the LS election from Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
Addressing a rally in Sorbhog under Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, Manik Sarkar urged the voters to vote for justice to the unemployed youth, struggling farmers, small businessmen and entrepreneurs.
Biraj Deka, a post graduate in English Literature from Bodoland University. He is the vice president of Student Federation of India's (SFI) Assam unit.
