In a gruesome incident, a man has killed his pregnant wife with an axe in Biswanath today.

The accused Sanjib Mahato committed the murder in a fit of anger as his wife.

The investigation claimed "internal family conflict" was behind the murder.

The deceased has been identified as Surekha Karmakar.

Later, local residents caught the murderer and handed over to police.
