Inyet another incident of moral policing, an angry mob beat up a man over chargesof theft in Islampur area in Sadiya and he breathed his last on Saturday. Thevictim was identified as Dipak Biswakarma.

Accordingto reports, Dipak was attacked by the mob last Monday over charges of theft inone Bagal Siring's house. The mob brutally thrashed him and he was admitted toa hospital with serious injuries. However, doctors referred him to AssamMedical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for further treatment, wherehe succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

Meanwhile,family members of Dipak have filed a complaint to the police demanding legalaction against the mob who attacked Dipak. Police have initiated an investigationto the incident and arrested Bagal Siring in connection with the case.
