Leopard on the prowl in Guwahati’s Pandu

Tensedsituation prevails at Pandu area in Guwahati city after a leopard was traced nearthe 'Temple Ghat' of the bank of the Brahmaputra river on this afternoon.

The PWD workers engaged in the construction of new road to Kamakhya temple traced the leopard. However, the leopard has not attacked anybody in the area.

Meanwhile, the PWD workers and locals in the area have informed the forest officials about the presence of the leopard. The forest officials are yet to reach the spot to trap the big cat roaming freely in the area.
