Tensedsituation prevailed at Maligaon area in Guwahati city after a leopard wastraced near Shantinagar locality on this afternoon. The locals traced theleopard behind one Renu Medhi's house.

However,the leopard has not attacked anybody in the area.

Meanwhile,the locals in the area have informed the forest officials about the presence ofthe leopard. The forest officials are yet to reach the spot to trap the big catroaming freely in the area.
