Last Rites of Martyr Biswajit Chouhan Performed

The last rites of CRPF jawan Biswajit Chouhan, killed in the encounter that broke out between CRPF and Maoists in Giridih district of Jharkhand on Monday, were performed with full state honours in his native village on Tuesday.

The mortal remains of CRPF Jawan Biswajit reached Guwahati wrapped in tricolor. From Guwahati it has been sent to his village. After the mortal remains of the martyr reached his village in Barpukhiri in Udalguri district, the people of the village tried to console his family members.

Huge numbers of people including Udalguri MLA Rihon Daimary paid his respects to Biswajit on Tuesday.
