Kolkata STF likely to arrest Subodh Biswas

Subodh Biswas, the prime accused in Silapathar vandalism wanted in connection with trafficking of fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and illegal arms supply.

Kolkata Special Task Force (STF) has started a massive drive against Subodh Biswas and his coworker Subhas Biswas for their alleged involvement in trafficking of fake Indian Currency Notes and illegal arms supply.

On Friday, Kolkata STF arrested Subodh's co-worker Subhas from Silapathar. But, the prime accused Subodh had been missing from October 15.

Reportedly, a couple of days ago Kolkata Police had arrested Anil Shah and during his interrogation the new allegations against Subodh and Subhas have come to light.

The prime accused of the Silapathar incident and president of the Bengali organisation, NiBBUSS, Subodh Biswas had got bail on September 18.

After returning from jail, Subodh requested a local resident at Kadamtola in Silapathar to allow him to stay in his house for one day. However, Subodh stayed there for 18 days. Thereafter, Subodh went to Nagpur.

This was followed by Kolkata Metropolitan Magistrate's Court had issued an arrest warrant and Kolkata STF sent the warrant to Silapathar police against Subodh and Subhas.
