The Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on Tuesday stated as many as 137 animals including fourteen rhinoceroses and 101 hog deer have died due to the devastating heavy floods that have submerged 75 percent of the national park.
The national park also informed that 163 animals have also been rescued and 140 have been released back to the wild after being cured. 60 animals have been wounded.
Out of 223 camps, 43 have been inundated in the floodwaters, while, three camps have been vacated.
