Kamrup DC declares local holiday on Nov 7

Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metropolitan) Virendra Mittal declared local holiday on November 7 in the entire district on the occasion of Diwali.

The district administration on Monday issued an Order declaring a local holiday on November 7 to enable the people to celebrate the festival of lights, Diwali, which falls the next day In deference to the wishes expressed from various quarters, seeking to declare November 7 as holiday to enable the government employees and teachers to visit their native places to celebrate the festival,

The government issued an order declaring a local holiday for all the state government offices, schools and colleges on November 7.
