Massive fire broke out at Barbhita bazar of Kalgachia in wee hours of Wednesday.

The fire engulfed the entire market place and it took several hours to bring it under control. As per information, the cause of the fire may be due to an electric short circuit.

Police informed that no injuries have been reported in the fire that broke out in the market.

"We tried our best but firefighting operation was tough as the fire spread to the nearby settlements" said fire fighters. There has been no reports of causalities so far and the fire fighters have succeeded in dousing the fire. However, property worth crores was gutted.
