JMB leader arrested in Barpeta

One of the leaders of JMB has arrested by Barpeta police at theRaumari Pathar region in Barpeta on Thursday.

Reportedly, the jihadi leader has been identified as Ajhar Uddin Ahmed, S/o Md. Samad Ali. Ajhar has fled away after the Bardhaman blast and on Thursday he came back to Barpeta.

Based on the tip-off source, police arrested the leader of JMB and produced him at the CJM court in Barpeta, where the court sent him to 7 days police custody. For the further inquiry police visited his residence but suspiciously no one was there in his home.

It may be stated that Ajhar was one of the accused of the Bardhaman bomb blast and interestingly he was in jail of West Bangal as the accused of the blast.

Moreover, a few youths of the Raumari region was detained byBarpeta police on the allegation of involvement with jihadi organisations.
