JE Claims One in Pathsala

Another incident of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) reported from Bajali in Pathsala, Barpeta district where a 15-year old girl has died.

The girl, Ankita Das was a student of Class X of Bagna High School.

The locals alleged that the girl has died due to wrong treatment.

On Saturday also, two people died of JE in Kamrup (R) and several others reported to be infected of the disease.

It maybe mentioned here that in Jorhat at least six persons have died so far inJapanese encephalitis. However, the Assam heath department is yet to take anyactions to control the death toll.
