Inventor Uddhab Bharali to get ‘Role model’ award

Jagruti'19 – the annual All India Youth Conference will be held on the 12th & 13th January 2019 at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

Assam inventor Dr. Uddhab Bharali to get 'Role model' award in the prestigious conference. Bharali has about 118 innovations to his credit, starting from the late 1980s. Motivating the youth of India for stepping towards the 'Sustainable Rural Habitat', Jagruti'19 will honour a few "Role Models".

The 'Jagruti'19' is the third version of the national level youth conference. It is being organized by students' Council, IISc and Think India every year. The Conference covers issues of national and international importance from the perspective of young India.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Sustainable Rural Habitat – Returning to Our Roots'.

'Jagruti'19' intends to serve platform for the youth of India who feels responsible to converge and pay heed on rural issues and secure our ideals. Being organized on Swami Vivekananda's Birth Anniversary and commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the conference aims to reminisce Gandhi's motive of Gram Swaraj and its congruity through the sustainable rural habitat.

The conference aims to discuss the current situation, achievements, challenges, opportunities and advancements concerning rural India.
