The Excise Department conducted an operation in Nalbari district on Thursday evening and seized a truck loaded with illicit liquor. The truck was coming from Arunachal Pradesh, officials informed.

The truck was seized near Akara area. It was transporting the liquor to Jharkhand. The operation was jointly carried out by the Excise Department of Tihu and Nalbari with the help of Nalbari Police.

The driver of the truck and his helper have been detained. Interrogation is being conducted by the Police.
